Thanks guys, a while yet before this Mini's on the road unfortunately! It's quite annoying being ready to drive but the Mini just isnt ready! =[
Still got the brakes and general bodywork to do. Not that far off i don't suppose.

Cleaned all the waxoil and C**p off the engine today
Looks like its done its job and preserved it very well!

Just been looking throuhg the pics and I think you have your subframe mounts on the wrong way round, which might be why it's touch the floor. I took mine off today and heres the pic of it.

Well i think its because it had a bump up the backside in an accident once - pulled back out on a Jig, so isnt completely correct!
Whichever way the rear mounts are it would still be the same depth. Sure its like this on the later Minis. Going to put something between the subframe and the body to stop it from damaging the floor, something that doesn't retain water.

-Thanks for the feedback guys

**Update**

Found a lovely hole in the offside front panel - just where the shocker mounting is.
So I cut it out and welded a new piece of metal in its place.

Painted that up in rex oxide primer and did a few other patches on the body of the passenger side.
White stone chipped all underneath the wing and on the sills.

Roof guttering was 'shot' and rusted away as you can see:

So partway through welding new metal in! Ran out of gas halfway through! :withstupid:

Took door off, hinges needed sorting:

Bought myself a set of quality Somerford mini group 2 arches, the sort that stop and don't wrap around the valance. It's hard to find the aches that dont wrap around! They're awful in my opinion!

** Update **

Fully waxed and stone chipped the floor of the mini, the tunnel etc in black. Painted the passenger size rear panel and around the door, painted the guttering also and seam sealered the guttering. Repaired paint scabs and imperfections! So its all looking really good!
