Hey,

Im thinking of fitting those same ultralights myself, did you have to trim the arches at all? I love how they look on your car, really matches the red!

Much better with the 1293 in my opinion! Gorgeous car! So pristine and well restored!

Hi, I have read this thread a few times on other websites.
I'm sure you've heard it before, but I have to say I love your mini, an absolute favourite. The way it sits is fantastic.
A real classic, well done. :D

Hello TMF, long time no speak. I still have the mini, however for the last 3-4 years or so she has been SORN. Dry stored in a car port, I'll put her back on the road again one day. Bodywork is still looking in fair condition, but does need attention. I haven't turned her over in a few years though, but the engine is only less than 5000 miles old remember!

Feeling a little guilty, but she'll get the attention she deserves one day.

Edit: Can't believe it's been almost 10 years. First pulled the mini out the garage when I was 15, I'm knocking on 25 now.

Cheers, Tom

Hey Lund,

Just been looking through you thread. Absolutely stunning Mini you have there.

Coincidentally, I have a 1983 Mini City E (998cc), which is Cinnabar red. In many ways it looks orange. I have the same ideas as you, in that I'm going for gp2 arches and prob 10x6 wheels. I also have the 'City' stripe decal which will go down the side.

Did you find that 10x6's fit on your car (with drum brakes all-round), without the need to cut your arches?

Great looking car. Really is a minter!  :mrcool:

Nice looking mini love the colour and the city strips. I think I preferred the original interior and no arches I even like the steelies and hubcaps but would do to all the same would it!. Keep up the good work.

I had one of these Lund, W reg. Love the City model with the side stripes !  Even though I like original spec, it is great to see the pics. Thanks for sharing.
