  I was really enjoying the drive home last night when out of no-where a boy racer in his clapped out fiesta slammed on anchors on the icy road in front of me....only his rear light lens was broken!....my newly refurbed mini on the other hand came off much worse.... the whole front wing bent under and the lower front panel bent rendering my pride and joy f***ed now im really miffed...he aint insured and it looks like my insurance are just going to right mine off and leave me high and dry... £££'s spent on recon and loads of hours for nothing all because some uninsured chav can't drive properly. i know i should have been further back etc etc seen it coming and had time to brake etc etc but it miffs me that a person driving like that with no insurance was on the road to be able to not see in front of him and have to slam HIS brakes on causing me to nudge his back end(He had abs i didnt!!)?!?!?! with practically no damage to his and a complete new wing on mine HOW ANNOYING IS THAT   :gasp:

I'd make it personal and go smash his face in.

Teach him a lesson for been uninsured. I know people will disagree with me, but the safe and legal drivers always loose out to the non qualifed, unisured and idiot drivers.

my sister was hit by a uninsured driver he gave her his phone number and address because he was gonna pay then when it turned out to £700 he said no he wasnt gonna pay. she wont tell me and my dad where he lives because she knows what will happen. but she told the police and they said he is gonna be prosecuted so he will probally get a smack on the wrist and told not to do it again. it does my head in because people that drive legally always loose out. while the people with total disregard for the law and other drivers always seem to come out on top.

sorry to hear about your mini. it takes the *yellow human water*. Its stupid the punishment for driving uninsured is not strict enough to deter the little so and so's.

sorry mate but if you went up his arse its your fault in the eyes of the insurance, even if he was insured youd still be paying out.

I'd make it personal and go smash his face in.

nice attitude, go get a GBH charge over some bits of bent metal. really worth it.

Not afew bits of bent metal if you have spent thousands of pounds and man hours getting your mini in a good condition and how you want it.

Then it to be wrote off for the sum of pittance.

....only his rear light lens was broken!....

Surely if his brake lights weren't working properly then u got some kind of case for your insurance Yes/No?? but if he were insured you r a bit screwed anyway or was it just that the red casing was cracked?? Yea well anoyying. then they get banned from driving and just go out and drive again anyway!!

Theres an organistion or a fund that will take up your insurance case in the event of an accident with an uninsured driver. You pay towards it in your insurance premium, ask your insurance company about it and they should be able to give you details. Although to be honest, you hit the back of him, I can see it being very hard for you to claim it was totally his fault and therefore get any money back.

Personally I'd ignore all these idiots saying you should go give him a helping hand to hospital, its not really going to solve anything, your car will still be smashed up.

but at least youre not dead.

unfortunately unless youve got witnesses to say his brake lights were out then youve not got a leg to stand on.

to be honest mate, even if he did stamp on his brakes you should of left enough stopping distance. but sometimes we're all guilty of driving too close.

 Thanks for the feedback just to set it straight, the insurance company have now said due to lack of insurance he is completely liable for the whole thing (it wouldnt have happened if he wasn't there with a defective light and no insurance) they will pay out on my policy and then the Motorist Insurance Beureu <<(spelling) will persue him for the full costs of the claim and injury
i'm just tring to find somewhere to now do a repair on her quick i dont have the time at this time of year to spend hours doing wings etc!!! ive got 2 children under 2 :gasp: and i dont think the police would blame me for the accident because there was 2 witnesses in the bus stop who both said he only had one sidelight and no rear lights!! but its as some of you have said, he will get a slap on the wrists.

but if i go just 3 mph over the speed limit then they will hit me hard....................OH IM ANGRY!!!!>>>>>>>>>>>>>>* breathing deep and counting to 10*, and im so tempted to visit his house and see if his family like me to smash there cars up with a hammer and then just walk away with a smile *Breaths deeper* and then open a can of whoop ass on him (wouldn't want to waste them i've only got 2 left) .... Never mind its Frickin' christmas and my pinky is stuffed for the new year YIPPPEEEEEEE!!!

my minivan got well stuffed in the rear after spending 18 months and £4,200 on a complete resto
he tried to say my car due to age was poorly lit etc and done his best to worm out of it! i laughed as i had genuine austin new lamps on the back chromed! lol
so it gave a shine like a fog lamp on the brakes! lol

some people tho ! it was hard enough getting that sorted out!
best of luck with getting the delightful little sh!t

i find brake fluid water bombs very effective! :cheese:
violence never sorts an issue but a litttle childish style does! lol
