Unsure if the link will work to my photo album on fb

Good pics! What wheels are they on the silver mini on photo 20?

They look like Alleycats to me.

Some more '70's-'80's styling

I'd managed to erase them from my memory too :D

All 4 identical & as well moulded as a Chad Valley table football set!

Everyone had Wellers as they were half the price of alloys.

The properly cool cars haven't changed much - debumpered with a row of Cibie Oscars, lots of gauges in chrome bezels, only they were knicked out of scrapyard Triumphs not off Ebay.

Lots of tacky bolt on plastic - those wiper blade wind deflectors thingies, anti static earthing strips, cheap spot lights with plastic grilles...

Wheel spacers for your drum brakes, nikki twin chokes & a Peco exhaust.

The main source of tuning bits was other BL stuff in the scrappers - Allegros, 1300's...

A huge CB "twig" to make your Mini look like it was radio controlled was a legal requirement, as I remember.

Having being born in the 80’s :D and growing up as a kid all I can really remember is the tacky stuff.

Like local radio station and small rectangular car window stickers, with stuff like 'My other car's a Porsche', 'Honk if you bonk', 'If you can read this you're too close / someone's knicked my caravan',

Those orange Garfield cuddly toys that you stick up the windows.

Blade things that clipped onto the wipers, normally in bright neon colours.

The trapped fingers stuck on the edges of the boot lid.

Static strips hanging from the rear bumper.

And stupid roller blinds that stuck to the back windows.

1983 KAT mini

Posted Image

This body kit was avaliable in the 1980's and was designed by the same people who did the Tickford Metros and Tickford Capris.

Love it!!!!! I'm looking for a KAT kit for mine. Keep scouring eBay :D)
