Just looking at some old pics taken at the silverstone mini 30 show in 1989... Plenty of minis with White wellers & minis fitted with those awful rear nudge bars

how about double blade wipers.


Nice, where did you get them from? Could you get them in chrome?

a friend gave them to me, he's had mini's in his family for years. their the only pair i have ever seen.

Ah fair, my chances of finding chrome ones will be very slim then! They look cool though. I hope the wiper motor can take the extra resistance of two more wiper blades :P

My wiper motor had a hard time pulling one blade let alone four! lol

Definitely white weller 8 spokes!

A pair of rear fog lights wired up in the back window as high level brake lights.

Nudge bars.

Huge Cibie Oscars - two up two down (not with nudge bars though - very uncool!).

Peco back box!!

It's all coming back to me now!!

The '80's was all colour coded body kits and BBS alloy wheels. Think ERA Turbo in white with a full white leather interior.

This body kit was avaliable in the 1980's and was designed by the same people who did the Tickford Metros and Tickford Capris.

Wasn't there a company called Richard Grant or similar?

Used to make a hideous looking (IMO) spoiler for the front of the mini (and other cars) if I remember correctly

^ Richard Grant are still going under the name RGM (Richard Grant Mouldings) and make all sorts of stuff like spoilers and eye brow kits.

isnt there a reason why we dont do what people did to there cars in the 80s
mainly because they made their cars tacky and godugly
