That motor looks stunning, will be rapid and a bit of a fuel guzzler too :withstupid:

Also i'd love to see a thread on your Hornet, nicest i've seen in a long time! Would like to do a post on Status Error about it if you have some nice pictures of it?

Cheers

quick update not done much recently as had to get the wolseley and paul smith through the dreaded MOT 1 pass 1 fail but only on a split cv boot now fixed and both mot'd

well I have managed to install the 4 pin diff and start painting up engine bits and started to build the engine (using the engine build DVD and manuals to double check what I am doing) dont want it to go boom

so far installed Crank and checked end float :-

now mounted to the gearbox, this job would have been alot quicker if I could have found the bolts ( is it just me who cant find things that are under your nose)

Posted Image

Then set about timing the cam in, said should be timed to 106-108deg I timed to the 108 is there any advantage or disadvantage to this ie is 108 or 106 better?

Posted Image

Then got all excited and sat the head and carbs on just to see what its going to look like.

Looks like it's gonna be a really nice car. Might be worth considering a quaife atb diff, still very driveable but with much improved traction.

I have just ordered a full race KAD 16 valve motor for my sprint/hillclimb car. Never mind just having the carbs on show, i'm thinking of having a perspex bonnet. For how much its cost i'm gonna show it off lol.

Dave.
