Well been a while but managed to get the engine built up
seems to have taken ages but every little thing you touch needs modifying,
anyway hope it all works now time to finish the bodywork

Well got a coat of primer on still a little bit of prep to do then can think about more primer and some top coat.
Also started cleaning and powder coating bits

Are those lower arms and tie rods plated?? Chromed?? If they are it's not a real good idea, it makes the metal a whole lot more brittle! All the classic race car wishbones are polished, never plated. It's a bugger to keep rust free!!

this has been put on the back burner again while I tended to rust issues on my Paul smith, though have made a little progress in the last week, managed to get the subframe built up and mounted in the car so she is now back on wheels also got the interior and the engine bay painted
just need to finish drilling holes for arches then can do final prep and paint the outer

been there, done that! your build seems to be at a very similar stage to mine, 'cept I don't have a K1100 head.
I've got my engine in now though and just finishing up body work before paint.
will be following yours closely!
