how is this build going? Ive only recently completed my 1310 7 port running twin 40mm webers and always liked the idea of a turbo 7 port but had no idea where to start as havent seen one before. Do you have any more pics to show how you are progressing?

Im thinking i might go for fuel injection later this year and when i need to strip her down may do the mods for a turbo efi 7 port so would really love to see some detail here.

cheers

Steve,

you probably wont need to change much to go turbo, what cam, pistons and compresion ratio do you have currently, PM me and I'll give some pointers.

Pretty much hit the nail on the head there ! Massive lack of free time over the last year has meant pretty much zero progress on any of my projects ....
Maybe this year ?

Well it's been a long time & I've not actually started bolting it together yet, but I have slowly been collecting the parts. So far I have the following:

7 port head {obviously}
Injectors & fuel rail
Throttle body
Megasquirt ECU
Belt drive timing kit
Billet crank
"Secret" Cam ! LOL
Ultralight steel flywheel & backplate
Double grey pressure plate & AP Rally/Race plate
Forged 18cc pistons
Group A Spec block with 4 bolt main cap, undercrown oil jets & Group A head gasket.

Me & my Dad went halfs on a reboring machine for the workshop & rebored the block ourselves. It came out spot on !
Hopefully start putting it together soon.

Phil.

Very nice, so does this mean you'll be boring blocks out now as well as doing all your porting work?

Car looked great in miniworld by the way

Thread ressurection. Well only a little progress, but I've managed to squeeze 26cc out of the chambers while still maintaining an efficient shape, so no worries obtaining a decent compression ratio.
On another note I've just bought a new house with a big garage/workshop so should have a little more time to do some work on my projects at home.
Hopefully update a little more over the next few months.

Phil.

Sounds good Phil. Will you be going for oil fed crank thrusts as your using a double grey?

I've always run a double grey with no issues {touch wood} but, yes, oil feeding the thrusts was on the list of jobs.

It's been a long time ! Got 26cc from the chambers. What a nerve racking job it was knowing one slip with a carbide on aluminium could make a real mess, but thankfully my years of practice paid off !
