Today whilst waiting in for my new virgin router the 'rag and bone man' decided to take my exhaust off my drive, I'm just disgusted that someone would actually go and do that :)

Mate of mine was working on a large house, replacing all the alluminium guttering with plastic, he had the old metal down the side of his house out of view and they came and pinched it. He saw it in the scrappers the next week when he took some stuff down.

Geeeez "Rag and Bone Men" ringing their bells???? ........Where do you live?? The "East End" in Edwardian times??

I honestly did'nt realise that the "Rag & Bone" industry was still alive and well these days!! I thought it died a death and became the scrap yard industry in the seventies!! (Which consequently also virtually died a death and became the automotive & metals recycling industry in the nineties!! :w00t: )

I get then round all the time, I just wind my dog up and then open the door(whilst holding onto him!!). That usually works, not had the same one back twice yet.

I can't let him go as that would spoil the illusion of him being a vicious scrap-thieving-scum-biter!!

See them all the time, but I bet most people don’t know that you have to have a licence to carry other people’s scrap.

Being in an industrial estate we get them round all the time. There where couple guys a while ago that emptied our scrap skid into the back of a drop side transit. One of the lads I work with caught them stood their with his mobile and told them he'd call the cops if they didn't put it back.

Apparently the scrap went back into our skip amazingly fast. :w00t:
