The local 'campsite' had a raid a few years ago, plenty of police cars, and a helicopter.
And the cheeky gits stole a police car. Don't think it was ever recovered.
They also illegally built a new campsite in a field they owned, without building rights, on good friday last year. So far nothing has happened, and its still there. Baffles me why the army aren't called in with armoured bulldozers or tanks to flatten the place,

Brother in law has had his works van broken into twice now, and tools stolen. Police got the registration of the van that was seen in the area, but apparently could not prove who the driver was at the time, and therefore could not prosecute for the thefts.

+1.
To be fair though, me and a mate where skint last summer, so we collected a bit of scrap. But this was fly tipped stuff we found in country lanes and in the corners of industrial estates. Also got a farmers permission to have an alluminium box van shell.
Did quite well out of it too, no need to steal a thing.

Would appear so. but nothing could be proven. It does seem that the Police don't really want to get involved with travelling folk, meaning they get away with everything. But what can you do?
if the police have ever seen snatch im not surprised lmao

You must now use the phrase: Caravan Utilising Nomadic Travellers or you use an acronym of the title for short.

The crackheads steal anything they can get their hands on.
They strip copper wire out of vacant buildings and buildings under construction.
They also steal air conditioning units for the copper. We have had several AC units stolen (I'm a homebuilder). We have had copper wire and HVAC line sets stolen out of houses as well.
Another hot item is catalytic converters. They will cut them off you vehicle while it is in your driveway.
