My dad went to an old fashioned grammar school in London so it was forced onto me and my brother at home.
I know for a fact I have got jobs over other people just because of my ability to present myself and adapt my speach and written skills to certain situations.
I think poor grammar is to do with being lazy and with most of these people it follows them through life, I have interviewed people for sales and administration roles that have turned up with no tie on, this may seem picky and over the top but presentability is important.
I know I sound like a grumpy old man but I would like to add that my biggest problem when typing is my stupid spacebardoesn'twork sometimes so i have to re-read everything!
Rant over.

If it is too much of a job for the TMF staff to handle then I (as I am sure others) would be happy to fulfil this "job opening".
A little spelling mistake here and there can be forgiven, but when posts are littered with it (and I mean everything that has been spoken about) then users should be stopped, or timed out, or posts deleted. Whatever suits.

it annoys me when people needlessly correct everyones little spelling mistakes, its something an annoying little chav would do if they knew it was annoying (im not being stereotypical, the chavs round where i am are just like that)

im going to be brutally honest, japan is rich enough to get back on its feet, libya has frig all to do with us and i believe in the term help starts at home, we should get our own country properly sorted first instead of sending lots of aid to pakistan who have plenty of rich people they can tax, thats my own opinion and im sticking to it but obviously i feel for all the familys and people its affected

I've just turned 20 and when I was at school grammar and sentence construction were never mentioned.

Now here is a young man that will go far. Poor grammar and spelling are just symtoms of either poor education or laziness. There are spell and grammar checkers available to computer users with disabilities.
I wonder if the same attitude to spelling and grammar prevails when attempting other tasks. Would you feel safe in a mini maintained with the same splap-dash attention to detail?

Anyway. That has nothing to do with this thread.
It has been brought to our attention that this issue is already in black and white in the rules of the forum. So my question to admin staff is, does anyone check on this from time to time? Ages ago there was a thread such as this backed by admin. Now there are new illiterates and admin staff are no where to be seen.
So illiterates; why are you argueing the point when it is dogma?

Then start a thread about it surf...you serve in the forces or have family/live in lybia? Then nothing you are doing about it presumably.
Anyway. That has nothing to do with this thread.

Come on Bobby, you come across as if you're spoiling for a fight on this matter

Despite your edit there are still at least half a dozen errors in your post, and as for the use of the word "dogma" that's had me laughing because of the irony.
