cheers for the comments guys
the colour is brilliant and looks fantastic when the sunlight hits it cus all the metallic shows through really well and my parents go away on holiday for 2weeks on sunday so i can basically live in the garage
the steering wheel was £60 from one of my neighbours which im happy enough with and i may not be the best at deadlines but im hoping the 24th of august is realistic enough for the causeway coast mini show so hopefully it goes to plan

its been a while for this thread, i completely forgot to update it with all that happened so il try sum it up and just let the pictures to do the rest of the talking.
i didnt make the causeway coast show because all though it was so close, it turned out i had fitted the wrong rear brake cylinders as mine had different ones only fitted in 1978. got everything changed and booked the mot for 4th of september to give me time to finish any wee bits and pieces and thankfully it went through 1st time
since then ive just been loving every minute of driving it and ive fitted hi-los and minispares red dot cones since then which really changed the way it drives.
just going through these photos i remembered one of my biggest problems, i had got a pattern bonnet from one of my neighbours while the car was at the sprayers, i gave it to the sprayer and he just set it on the check that it was at least the same shape but when i went to fit it, the hinge mounts were welded too far back and had no room to manoeuvre so i had to shell out for a heritage bonnet and have it sprayed since it fit like a dream.

thats all the most current pics i have at the moment but im sure ive got others to put on the computer
after so much time and effort put into this i can honestly say it was all worth it finally completed
thanks, Adam

What a great job you did! I am impressed. I particularly liked you being honest about mistakes about the order you put things back in.

thank you very much, it was a steep learning curve and i couldnt have done it without the help i got with different stages of the build. i learnt from my mistakes and if someone can also learn from my mistakes then it will save them some heartache haha
