From that i think my 998 tuning guide may be of use to you

PM me your email address mate.

Final spec for mine will be A+ block. standard 998 bore. twin hs2's, 12g295 ported big valve head. kent 276 cam, lightened and balanced flywheel with pre-verto clutch.
Central oil pickup and x-pin diff.

Should make 70-80 at the rollers.

Vizard did one similar without the flywheel etc and that got about 72 and was quicker than a metro turbo.

You should be making 70bhp with that spec Stevee depending on the head modifications.

Where are you going to get 998 straight cuts from ;)

some really nice builds there! ;)
especially that 998 +80 of benpopham! sounds like it will be a bit of a handful :)

ive got a standard small valve 1275 head 12g940 and a hif44 lying in the garage so i was planning on using those

was thinking of a spec something like:
998 pocketed block
flat top pistons (if funds allow)
sw5 cam
12g940 small valve head with unleaded conversion and ported a bit
lightened flywheel
centre oil pickup pipe
hardened diff pin
hif44 carb
cooper freeflow exhause manifold
rc-40 twin box system

what does everyone thing?

Mainflow inlet manifold
