pulled out the passenger chair from my storage today and cleaned it up, came up pretty nice.

Had a look over the driver side chair and it is in no where near as good condition as the passenger chair.

Well got a chance to do some bodywork today, somehow I managed to spend the whole day just working on this door, time flies when you are welding, filling and sanding.

Posted Image

Edit: did some more work on it today, starting to come up really nice.

Edit: Done some more work on the door and I have almost finished it, except for a bit of sanding and one hole that needs fixing.

Edit: Mostly finished now, just need to fix one hole, remove the siezed hinges and give it a coat of red primer and its done.

Re. the holes you were talking about filling in, they are for fresh air vents. Maybe in 1973 they were an optional extra and yours didn't have them, but they are widely available.

kinda just using my time up at the moment working on other parts of the car until I get some more money in so I can start working on the shell itself :D Anyways found these gems when I was going through the car stuff. After a a good cleaning and some staples they came up really nice, not sure if the speakers work tho.

Door repair look excellent :D

Salvage what you can of that interior- as said, it's very hard to get nowadays! Mine is dark blue, which is more common than your colour I think, and I've had to keep on top of mine to keep it nice, they weren't very hard wearing!

Thanks. Refurbed the central speedometer and after taking it apart, cleaning it and rebuilding it, it looks really nice, almost new. Can't believe I was considering replacing it.

front carpet is in pretty good nick aswell.

Ooooh a genuine carpet in that condition is a real rarity.. I wish I could find one like that, the aftermarket jobs available that I've seen are just not the same. My original was threadbare, literally- I've got a modern black one in there now but it doesn't look right.
This car has the makings of being something really nice- stick at it :D

pulled these out today and gave them a right good clean and polish, they came up really nice except for the one on the bottom right of the picture, which I might replace. Rust has eaten right through it in some areas. The other three look awesome tho.

looking good vincent!

here in Cyprus mk3 are most common. Rarely do you see cities, mk4 and so on.

Like the way you're salvaging everything. Can't wait to see progress!

thanks, managed to get the passenger door taken apart after a lot of swearing, looks in good order, but no idea what that paint may be hiding.

Posted Image

Guess this door came off a green mini.

Posted Image

The window seems in good nick except for one of the tracks which has rusted to hell.

Posted Image

Edit: Did some more work on the passenger door today and it is starting to come up pretty nice. The door seems to be in great condition except for a bit on surface rust here and there. Its weird i found a whole multitude of colours under the white paint, it is mostly green but I found some red, grey and beige in there. Because i found some beige I wonder if this door is actually from my car, hmmm.

Posted Image

Edit: Door is pretty much done except for a few bits here and there, like removing the hinges, need one of those star screwdriver deals to get those bolts out. After that a nice coat of red primer and it'll look beast.
