Enjoying your Project so far. My mk3 was in a similar state. You'll get there in the end even if it is after alot of tears and tantrums

Yeah. My dad wanted me to paint it racing green with white stripes on the bonnet, much like the mini cooper he had in his hay day, suppose to relive his youth
Anyways as the weather was not on my side today I didn't really get much at all done. Pretty much finished both these doors off, got all the seized hinges removed. They just need a light sanding then a coat of red primer.
Thinking about getting a marquee to which I can work under even if it's raining, the only problem is that I am in a windswept area.

I surely am Pulled these out and cleaned them up, was quite surprised at how good a condition the rubbers were in, good to go back on the car me thinks.

Welding is getting better
Spot welded along this edge by drilling holes prior to putting the piece in then filling them with weld.
All protected for now, after I added another small piece.
I think tomorrow I will clean that floor and remove the majority of that under seal, a job I don't much like at all.

Ground back my welding and gave the good areas a coating of kurust.
Starting to look alright
