Got to be the 1100 Special.

i second that, the first proper ltd edition mini produced in 1979 for the mini's official 20th birthday, this car started the "mini anniversary trend" (leylands first attempt of a mini special in 1976 was a bog standard mini 1000 with MGB seat covers.....whats special about that??)

Mine has to be the special 1100 aswell I think, got the be the most funky looking standard mini. Though I quite like the 30, RSP, advantage, designer, tartan, 35 and 40.

Mini 30 in cherry red for me, one of the classiest Mini's ever produced IMO.

Possibly one of the least recognised specials, being as it only marked 25 years of mini production. That and possibly because of the lack of chrome trim and alloys.

But it was the first since the cubby Gt to have 12” wheels and the 8.4” disk brakes, something witch became standard to the mayfair the following year. The seats and door cards are quite nice being flint velvet (very 80’s) with there very unique storage pockets on the fronts, set off with the bright red piping and seat belts.

Or of course the ERA turbo
