Suspension! :) The front and rear Hydragas units are linked so that when you let the gas out you end up with a huge nosedive. In order to run suppper low and stiffen up the ride a LOT you individualize the hydragas cans so that each can is independent rather than fluid traveling from front to back :)

It'd sagged a LOT anyway so it needed a pump up. The front has been raised half an inch from how it used to be and the rear has been brought down a LOT to sit level. Its a much better stance, makes the car look a lot smaller (not unlike a Mini... :P)

is that a good 'interesting'? :P

Yeah its a good interesting, I didn't know about the metro suspension, to be honest I never really thought about it, I didn't think another car used donuts but just presumed the metro had a macpherson strut setup etc?

This is the best best guide to Hydragas really. It's a great system because its SO smooth if you have it at the height Rover intended. If you let the fluid out you get a sloppy can that rolls all over the road... now let the fluid out AND individualize and you end up with a super stiff car that holds the road very well. http://www.mgf.ultim...on/hydragas.htm

The picture makes it look higher than it is but this is as low as I can go until I get the 14's on. The rears are prone to rubbing on 14's. I'll probably end up getting the arches rolled to accommodate the extra width.

Is that an MPi wheel or off another MGRover? It has the droopy bit like an mpi. Either way it's nice :D

I parked next to a P reg metro at the post office earlier. Seeing daylight through most of it's panels reminded me how nice yours is :)

I've been looking for a BRM wheel but can't find one. :( This is from an MGTF but the wheels are exactly the same as MPi Mini wheels :)

Haha! Yeah most Metros seem to be like that nowadays... rarely see a decent one about. Thanks mate :)

Yeah it does look the same as an MPi, some of the ones I've looked at from Fs are more droopy across that bit where the horn buttons are, maybe the TF is different again and the same as the mini. My car would like a new wheel too :D

Saw a red Metro today while I was cycling and was looking at it and thought of you then crashed into a side of a house :shy:
