Well its been to Ron Harpers Classic performance and it now drives like a different car, before it went in it either stalled or wheel spun with nothing in between, it now ticks over at 1000rpm and pulls from low down.

Also put a new set of wheels on but think I will change back to the old onesPosted ImagePosted Image

Not done much over the winter, its just been sat in the garage while I was working on the MK1.

But its time to get it back out so I given the old bootlid a make over and ordered some cooler plugs so should be out and about soon :D

A little more progress Put a new set of plugs in (ones that run hotter as recomended by tuner) and a new starter motor ( this is the 3rd one but using ones I have had around the garage, think I need to invest in a high torque one), fixed the rev counter and she's alive again

Who needs exhaust notes when you have induction sound and it sounds even better under load

Well its time to say goodbye to the 7 port for the Hornet its been great fun but to race bred, so I have decided to finally get round to building a new engine for her that's a bit more sensible

Engine all built and cams timed in just need to build the diff and gearbox and then spend the next 6 months reading up on fuel injection lol
