So had it started again and brought up to temp and then re torqued the head.
Seems to rev very freely

Jobs to do
Modify bonnet
bleed brakes
bleed / adjust clutch
adjust timing and carbs
torque up balljoints, track rod ends and bearings
fit arches and wheels
Not long now

Thanks Alex, i suppose it is a bit quirky and I think thats why I have done it to try and have something a bit diferent.
well, recent progress has been slow had to cut a hole in the tunnel for the new gear linkage ( first attempt didnt work) and cut the bonnet so it now fits and doesnt catch the carbs.

brakes done
balljoints track rod ends and wheel bearings tight
Shockers fitted

Bonnet fitted

And it closes with a few mods

arches and wheels to do then off out for a drive
