update

specialist components tower bolts are here they are the nuts and just sooo light! and in the blue they will go nicely with my red bushes :(

my carbon boot lid has just arrived from curley and i have got all the bits needed so i can mount that, i will be on the case soon.

just bought a touring car style window net to be nice and safe on track days.

my rose jointed brace bars are now all designed and i have made the main part of them, i have also got a left hand tap so i can do the left hand threads for them now.

im doing loads of machining odd bits and pieces for the front subframe too.

matrix that was each for the bolts unfortunately.

a cool thing to know is that both of the SC bolts weigh 200grams less than one of the standard bolts!!!

i got my KAD rose jointed tie rods through today, the are awsome and have even been powder coated already! the even look like they are doing 100mph when you hold them

mentalist the powerplant is under wraps, altough i will say i have changed my mind again and decided to do it properly.

Hi mate i can agree with you on the tie rods ive got these and they look superb and although they are dear you pay for what you get and they are perfection Posted Image

bit of a bad pic but it shows how good they look against the other components and really compliment the minispeed adj. bottom arms but i found that the only problem was that because they were powdercoated i had to get the dremmel on the sections that fasten to the bottom arms (only to remove the powdercoating) then they went on perfect

had to do some work on the every day mini this evening, the wheel bearing was getting a bit load  i fixed my moveable wiper/ indicator stalks as well. lol

any way back to the real car

i have made some really nice brackets for my boot pins, and will weld these on tomorrow, and i drilled the holes in the lid for the hinges, as usual i couldnt quite leave these standard so will be doing a little mod on these to make them quick release. basically boot should be on tomorrow.

i got my window net in the post the other day, its a good fit to the window size and should look well cool!

i also got a few bits of metal from france at the weekend while i was there, as you do. so i can now make the brackets for the miglia arches, and i also have all the metal to be getting on with the tubs when i get some time.

the car now has a boot. its fitted with a nice even gap all round, and a set of bonnet pins to keep it shut, looked really good.

seems like i may be stopping the project for a while as i have a lot on and not much money, dont want to mess anything up as its all going so good.

im going to be ploughing into my every day mini as i want to do some work on that, it needs a new engine and so other bits, want to get it up to spec so i can do the riv run in it!
