well i have taken the cover off and moved the racer into the garage again, and actually got down to doing some work on it.

i now have one tubbed arch, i cut the stips off metal i had made up into the correct shape and have now rolled it and fitted it into place and tack welded it into place.

i stilll cant belive how much lower the car will run now, im just about to offer the wheel and arch up agian to see how it looks!

im bidding on a few very tasty bits on ebay at the moment. hopefully i can actually win some bits in time for pay day next week!

arch is all done now.

its solid too. just got to dress the welds on it.

ive started sorting out the fitting of the miglia arches as well, i cut up some ally stip the other day so i am going to go and bend these correctly now. but i need to buy some arch trim before i fit the properly!

every day mini now has koni shocks, cobra monaco bucket seat and ERA turbo alloys.

soon to have adjustable tie rods and carbon dash, also a new engine hopefully on saturday.

dont worry it really wont take me long at all, borrowing an engine crane too.

got a quote for a complete engine for £150 so i am going to have a look at it, only trouble as i only have them mini so thats what i have to transport it in! lol.

got a few more bits to sort out and i need to buy a new exhaust!!

cheers cisco, i cant wait to get back to working on the project, ive taken a while of to build my workshop, so once the everyday car and the workshop are done its all going to start coming together.

every day mini update

well i have decided i really dont like 13"s the handling is bloody dangerous now, grips like glue on round about but is really unstable on the straight.

i have got one 12" still on it at the mo so will change that and the rear dampers and see if it helps if not its back on 12s.

i fitted some h/d tie rods to see if i bit of added caster would make it more stable but i have gone too far now which doesnt help.

ive got a half day on friday so im going to look at my new engine hopefully, and also pick a few bits up from the scrap yard and also a new rc40 system from mini spares if i get time.

dash is all in, and earial fitted so i have a radio now. just need to put the clock in the dash but i am swapping them for a 11o MPH to go with the 1275.

should be getting engine tommorrow.

big thanks to my brother who went to minispare to get me a new exhaust yesterday.

if all goes to plan i fit the engine exactly how i get it from the breakers apart from painting it, get it up and running and drive it for a day, then i will take the head off and drill the mini style heater take off, give the head a skim to get the compression up and then re seat the valves and then change the oil filter ect.

its gonna be a ragger!!!!

well thought id better get back to the real mini, i still havent done anything on it, as ive been so busy. i have also unfortunately had to delay the roll cage for another month as i have no money at the moment.

the workshop hasnt been started either yet so it will probably be june before anything gets done on the car.
