Hi, I've been lurking on your build thread for ages and would just like to say that what you are doing is remarkable. It takes a true enthusiast to go to the trouble that you have and you have stuck to your guns right from the start.

I think the inspiration that the pics give far outweighs what any idiots out there are doing and in the long run your car will really be a properly sorted and complete project. It is all the details together that make your car special, not just the cool trick bits.

Well done and keep it up!

thanks for that flamejob its posts like that which make the forum worthwhile.

i will put some more pics up later today i think.

mini93 the cage was a few hundred quid, price depends on what you get but have a look on roll centres website.

as for it being FIA approved i asked the bloke at roll centre this and he said the cage isnt approved as you buy it as they are only supplying the tube and have no control over how it is fitted to the car, but the cage design is approved so you have to get your individual car approved by getting it assesed.

dave its still not done! looking like it will be this time next year before its finished now!

well both sills are now on the car, and the scuttle just needs a few more spot welds and that will be sorted, so im sorting out the doors getting them to fit right and then its on with the a panles.

when i get a chance to go on the lathe at work i will make my brace bars up, and once the brakets for them are done on the subframe they will be ready to got to the powder coaters, better sort out some toe eyes fot them aswell.

ive got so many plans for this car now, its going to be awsome.
