mini93 it depends on your spec 4 pots are good for mega power and bill solis says they are capeable when dealing with 180 bhp.

well i wont have quite that much, but i always think you cant have too much braking!

ok miniboo it wont match the brakes that much, just be up to thier level.

ed4ran i wish it was i have been watching them all on ebay, but thier just beyond my buget at the moment!

im going to turn up a distributor blanking plug at work next week as well, for something to do.

i have now got a set of rose jointed bottom arms on my way thanks to dan webster! i will get a couple of new rose joints for these and paint em up.

all being well i am going to collect my new brakes this weekend aswell, i need to trial fit these and modify the brackets so i can have the biggest discs possible within my wheels. better groove these discs like my last ones as well.

then i just need to get the nuts and bolts and i can build up the front subframe! wohoo it will start to look like i have done something then!

company is going bakrupt so not much i can do but wait and see, not good when i am having to spend about £900 on the project this week.

the boss is special, it an spa design one as used on the touring cars. costs about £100, but its not so much that. its more the way its fitted as normally with this type of boss you weld it onto the steering column, all well and good but if your steering wheel is not pointing striaght ahead the only way to make it straight is to adjust it through the track rod ends.

this i dint want as i would find this annoying, to get around this you would normaly need to get the new boss fitting splined to match the minis steering column but this is very expensive. so i managed to get around this with a bit of trick engineering and get a splined section in my boss.

you would have to see it to appreciate it.

oh and this wouldnt be an issue with a propietry snap off type boss

the spa ones the ones at demon tweeks? butchering an old steering wheel for the splined section seems like the way, welding it just seems dodgy especialy with the adjusting track rods way of things :S
