...when you get pulled over for suspected drink driving and have to explain that you were just dodging all the pot holes.

You take the long way home and when your late for dinner you answer. i went the long way........just to make sure "it warmed up properly"

You laugh at the sight of your car next to a lorry.

You notice how high the fiesta next to you at the traffic lights seems.

You laugh at people attempting to drive in the snow in their 4x4s sliding everywhere whilst your driving straight and true.

Every rattle has its own frequency and vibration count.

You drive your car after a week of not driving it and it starts first time and you feel like kissing your car because its such a good car. even though your sister leaves her peugeot for 2 weeks and it starts on the button.?

You thank your car for getting you somewhere far away and tell him he can have a rest now. and you feel him sigh with relief.

You feel your car is having problems and you say "you can do it boy, come on do it for me" and he responds and carrys on like nothing happened! (mybe just me?)

'You can't help smiling every time you walk towards your car' +1

Mini's have so much character.

lol i thought this the other day!
i then realised that if i see a pothole late and end up ploughing into it, i pull on the steering wheel (as if my car were a horse) hopeing to lift the front off the ground and soften the blow

...when you want to pull over but other cars will not let you in....then you think "I don't need your permission, I'm going over anyway!" ....watching their sad face when they see you squeeze into a 10" gap! LOVE it!

Love this especially when it some dafty in a bmw or matchbox car.

The light thing is a major pain as nearly all 4x4 headlights are some how lined up with every mirror on the mini.

I've opened the boot and bonnet almost the same as every time i go in the bonnet it something electrical so i have to disconnect the battery.

The whole long distance driving and motorways i don't get drove mine to wales twice from newcastle gunning it all the way middle or outside lane, the head turning was class then every jag, bmw, aston has to try and retake you.

The roundabouts i've not got to yet always scared i'll flip but i will give it a shot sometime.

Love this thread

I chuckled as I drove the mini the other day at the thought of putting this up and see what humourous responses were raised. Here's a couple to get started with:

You know you drive a mini when:

... you feel smug when you see a BMW mini.
... you worry slightly as the revs rise and fall at a set of traffic lights and wonder where you will pull in.

...you look in the mirror after exiting a roudabout and see absolutely nothing.
