Long time not much done due to exams!

I went to bingley and got some inspiration. Still not sure what I'm going to do engine wise.

Did a bit more dismantling today.


Need to get an engine crane. Unless you reckon a couple of burly men will be able to lift it out ?

Next on the list to do is smarten engine bay up once engine is out!

A long time no update! Well today I have a big update. There has been a big change of plan. Basically I need a van to kart my bikes around and neither the mini nor golf cut the mustard. So the golf has been sold and I am rebuilding this and putting it on the road to have some fun over "summer" in it and sell it on

 

I thought I'd whip the head off while I was here to have a good inspection.

 

Bores look decent.

 

 

These have been my wheels while I don't have a car, 24 years old!!!! 

 

Wheeled it out for the first time in about 6 months!

 

Fetched the new seats :) These are just mega awesome, they hug me so well.

 

Gave the engine a clean up and lick of paint.

I've got quite a few big parcels arriving in the next day or so. All will be revealed!

Been spending!


Managed to get one of the seats in, here's how I mounted it.




There'll hopefully be a lot of updates next week now I've got some time to crack on with it :)

Got the engine steady bracket welded on. Now this is done I can really get cracking putting it back together! :)

Been bolting bits back on in the engine bay and its taking shape! :)


I have a feeling that near the end I'm going to be missing many bolts though

It is indeed, it's a beast.

 

Had another hour in the garage. Got my drivers seat bolted in, now they are both in :)

 

Got my manifold on, looks quite neat, especially next to my cleaned up rockers :)

I'm not sure on a price yet, will only decide when I've finished it so I can really make a better decision based on the finish.

 

As said it is a dsn engine steady, a really smart bit of kit. Makes a great load of difference and looks pimp!

Got quite a lot done today again. Some more under the bonnet too but I didn't take a picture unfortunately.


Those arches won't be the final ones. I'm thinking group 2s, these ones ill use while it goes for its mot.
