Anyway a comparison..

The other cone was sunk into the cone, this is after it came out a bit...

The trumpet contained some sand and a screw

I got fed up of the white top dash rail so threw some hammerite at it, not a very good job but it better than white. Needs another coat.

Gave my top dash another coat, not bad finish for a brush!

Wasn't pleased to find this, i wee little hole, it's odd though cause its just whole and the rust doesn't extend any further and it's not very big, i've layered it in hammerite for a quick treatment, not totally sure what i'm going to do about it, for time being it will just be getting sealed up with something.

Put some new subframe mounts on, made a very nice difference :)

New steering column bushes too made an awesome difference :)

Remember the headunit change? Well it wouldn't work with my iphone

Got merry with the stickers

What I have been working on at work :)

And a big big hint as to what is to come soon

Gave the calipers a coat of red

And that's about it :)

New brakes

New wheels

Need either narrower arches, spacers or to shave some material off these ones.

I started getting a bit tired of the mini and started to lose touch with the fun side of it. Also winter was taking its toll on it. So I thought I'd buy myself a more reliable daily and turn the mini into a fun toy :)
The car i bought didn't turn out sensible of coarse ;) A mk2 golf 1.8 driver.

Anyway the mini. The other day i quickly wrote down a rough list of what wants doing. Turned out to be a long list

I had to make sure I got a decent home for the mini while work is done, commenced a majour garage clean up. Also beefed up on security. Gunna be hilarious if it gets broken into with the measures I have put in place ;)

Fetched the towbar off, (for sale this)

Seats out and for sale

Messy interior storage

Blurry picture but whipped the arches off and got rid of all of the muck underneath.

Whipped the exhaust off, some great halfords quality for you here. Both sides snapped and not even 4 months old

Engine dismantling!

Can't seem to get the cooper freeflow manifold off though!
Then got hungry and cold and wet so came in and updated this topic with a jacket potato :)

The basic plan is:
-Big engine (not sure on a series or bike engine yet)
-Propper bucket seats
-Roll cage
-Harnesses
-Lighten!
-Strenghten certain areas
-Minor welding
-Rust proofing
What am I letting myself in for?
