Long time no update! Still been cracking along with it however!

Back in october i fitted a new interior that i got for my birthday :) I got them at discount as they had a few marks in them and were slightly damp, i was well impressed with them :)

Before.....(ignore door cards)

After.........:)

This is how it stood on my birthday :)

Then fitted a dsn classics ultimate engine steady which is uber pimp :) Will get some pics of that when I can.

After a trip to the shops to town in my car i returned and what was parked next to me amused me so i had to take a picture :P

Look at that size comparison! lol Then I replaced the front wheel bearings once again! I think it was because i didn't seat the first ones correctly, the upper balljoint was a real pig though, after a lot of effort though that corner is top notch.

And here we are today, I bought myself a new grille, here's the before...

And here is after....

However I am not totally sold on it, it is growing on me slowly however. Something that needs to be addressed is the headlight lenses as they have a yellow tinge to them which i don't like, something to put on the christmas list.

Peace out, Duncan and Nicholas.

Been a while, been busy with exams atm, but still have managed to spend money.

Fitted these...
Posted Image
Makes the ride a bit more bearable. :)

Got these engine steadies to fit too...
Posted Image
Hopefully to make up for the broken standard engine steady that has failed at the weld. Already got the pimp DSN classics steady on atm.

Also bought myself some much nicer clocks :)
Posted Image
Hopefully be much nicer than the standard 2 clocks, just need to get hold of a wiring conversion kit.

Nicholas has been making strsnge noises atm, hopefully nothing too serious, especially with my exams atm.

Had a bit of an accident tonight. Will update later, luckily no obvious damage. I think the front left brake calliper locked up and took me off the road.

Great looking mini! Shame about the crash though. You don't still have the old arches do you, I've been looking for some second hand ones ;)

You're putting together a great looking interior. I really like those seats, my friend has some in his Mini too.

I hope the damage to the car isn't too bad!

Was getting a mental image of how I want my car all day.

Read through this thread. And it is exact. Now, I shall change plans, hate to copy!
Lovely car!

Thanks for the nice comments :) I don't have the old arches no more sorry. You should do with your mini what you want I think! Unless you add stupid body mods it just doesn't deserve :P

Right the accident... :( well I was making a short trip from my house to a friends. Country lane, going uphill, gathering speed, but thankfully not too much. I drive this route all the time and know it like the back of my hand, perfectly straight, and then bang! The car veered over to the left and I tried counter steering but it was very difficult. Then it spun slightly as it properly hit the edge and came to a halt. It was an incredibly surreal experience, it has rather spooked me out. Anyway I clambered out fearing the worst and had a look round to see what I could find. To my amazement even though it was buried in a hedge there was no damage. Apart from the chrome side strip coming off. Here's what it looked like...

Waited an age for the aa man to come give a toe and the hazards decided they'd had enough. When he finally came in his fancy bit of kit we pulled it out and onto his truck and brought it back home, where it decided it didn't want to move off the steep trailer, it was clear the front left was locked/incredibly stiff. All the suspension however looks all in tact which makes me believe it has something to do with the brake calliper siezing on, but it baffles me as to why it would suddenly just decide to do so? :s

All in all I have been incredibly lucky, if it happened 30 seconds earlier I could have ended up through a solid wall and been posting pics of my injuries or my written off mini. It has rather left me stumped, by the moment when I had no control and me and my pride and joy could have been hurt.

Anyway. Think it has inspired me, once my exams have dissapeared I think I might sell a few bits and pieces like my spare bike frame and Xbox and have a really good shopping spree getting some mini parts to sprucen him up :)
