I also set fire to my trousers while welding. damn nearly hit my pizzle...a lucky escape.

I used to work in a BMC dealership (yes it was a long time ago) and one of the mechanics was showing a new guy how to check the timing. He said "you shine the timing light in through this hole (points to hole in clutch cover) , then you adjust it till these marks line up". Then proceeded to put his finger in the hole...........the motor was going! Crikey his finger looked like it had been put in a mincer, it made my knees wobble.

I was trying to fit a boot lining kit the other day and tried to bend the lip on the fuel tank round so that one of the boards would slide in.
I used a hammer and cracked my fuel tank.

What an idiot!!!!

Was welding the other day and was welding, A bit of weld jumped and hit my throusers (top middle) and went all the way through the 2 layers and yes it hit, and it hurt alot !!

I was filling up my my coolant the day before last, being so very careful to get it neatly in to the expansion tank. For some reason it kept going down beyond the point I thought it would settle at. And, wearing shorts, my legs were getting splashed. Oh yes, forgot to tighten the bottom hose jubilee when I put the rad back in!

wooop one of my threads got brought back from the dead
