Never done a 'proper' mini show before, what sort of time do people start to head off home?

They usually give out the awards from about 3.30 so people start to leave 4 onwards.

If it's ok I don't want any BMW minis on this TMF stand, whilst we're BMW mini tolerant we are classic mini based forum, if anyone comes on asking about BMW minis we point them to the correct forum. All our techincal sections, mini project sections, etc are classics - we don't want to advertise ourselves as a cross-over forum when we're not, there are already forums and clubs which are who I'm sure would be happy to accept you on their stand if it's an issue.

Adam, if your gonna post something, dont abuse your powers by then removing it afterwards.

My point is, you cant say this forum welcomes the new mini and then not let one on a club stand. Your the ones who need the consistancy.

I decided against my comment, it's no different from someone editing their post. It's just neater ;).

We are consistent, TMF is MINI tolerant but we are not a MINI forum. We welcome MINI owners but encourage them to seek technical advice on MINI2. What isn't acceptable is flaming MINI owners for the car they choose to drive, they are just as welcome here as anyone else.

That statement contradicts the rest of what you just said. Why welcome people with these cars and then tell them they cannot attend an event as part of the forum?

No, it does not.

We welcome everyone, whether they drive a Mini, MINI, Saxo, Corsa, 3-Series, Metro, Golf, Polo, Astra, see where I'm going with this? We aren't unpleasant to people or say they can't be here because of what car they drive. If they like Minis and want to read/talk about them, this is the place for them regardless of what is parked on their drive.

However, we make it clear to MINI owners asking for technical advice on TMF is for the most part not going to get them the responses they require as most of our members have no technical expertise with the MINI so we direct them towards MINI2.
