this is my pride and joy from which i have been working on for the past 6 months! originally bought the car from ebay for 900. wasn't in too bad a condition but could have got better! its original state





from there i have stripped it to a bare shell carried out several welding repairs both around the side sills and scuttle. the front end was fairly rotten so i thought bugger it, chopped it of and put a flip front on it! got rid of the rotten rear subframe and got a powder coated rear beam from ebay, along with some spax coilovers. just recently put on one side of my sportspack arches. got new outer cv joints (bashed my old ones to death trying to get them out!). anyway more pics



















got a fiberglass boot skin also of ebay in the process of making that fit. hope to get it sprayed in a month or so but it will probabily be longer! want it finished for the summer but realistically i reckon it'll be done around november! future plans include 13 x 7 ultralites, poly bushes all round, front coilovers, 6 point roll cage, custom made carbon dash and door cards, corbra buckets, 4 point harness, hopefully a 1330 with around 100hp. trying not to go to over the top with this as i will be using it as an everyday car. all comments/critisims welcome! will try and keep updated weekly.

the zr's sort of a one off, special paint with all the extras at a fraction of the price! :cheese: just want my mini on the road now though, can't wait!

latest work done....
jacked up the front on my hi-lo's and cut the arch so my front will flip with it on!



started to put all chrome bits on, so when it come back from the spay shop i can just bolt things together!



currnetly fitting and trimming my fiberglass boot skin, lots of work yet to be done!



also fitted my right hand tank which i blindly cut a hole!

latest work......removed the fiberglass front to carry out so minor work to the bulkhead and surrond areas.



also bought some carbon bike style mirrors. they are identicle to the spc ones sold by demon tweeks but at only a fraction of the price





hopefully will be sending car to get sprayed around the end of march so thought i'd have a clear out and a wee clean up





have been having trouble trying to line up the flexible arches on the front so have bought some fiberglass ones which i will try and fit in the coming weeks.

nice project mate looking sweet, you keep up the good work iv got a fibreglass boot as well, just not got round to fitting it yet! how you fitting yours? keeping the original lock or bonnet pins? the bonnet pins is the root i'm taking!

edited, just looked at your pics and noticed the original lock . you must have a double skinned bootlid!

nope tis a single skin! only fault was it was flimsy and too small for my boot! mated it to my original metal skeleton to reinforce, should have the extensions round the edges finished this weekend so shall post some pics up.

where did you get your mirrors from? i really want some just like that and how much were they?

mirrors were of ebay, 80quid buy it now. very light and decent quality but i can see these folding in if i go over 80! serch for f1 mirrors
