What a project. You'll have to excuse my ignorancew as I haven't been here long.

You've made a good choice in putting the bumpers back on, personal preference but I prefer them with.

I've just fab'd a metal smooth bootlid skin for mine, dead chuffed with it, just needs spraying now.

What colour are you going for mate?

Keep up the hard work. It will be a stomper when its done. Tom

cheers lund, knew it was something like that couldn't remember though! :D
just been doing small bits and pieces here and there, and test making a carbon fiber door card. will get some pics of it up next week, but the process i am using is similar to fiberglassin not as strong but looks the same. it also genuine carbon weave i'm using!

been a while since i posted here! lets see whats been done................................
.
.
.
.
bought some fiberglass arches of ebay

Posted Image

heres how they look on the car

Posted Image

then got some 3 clock dials, will be selling the union jack covers soon so pm if you want them

Posted Image

got a front safety devices cage off a mate for a tenner! so went about painting that.

Posted Image

removed all the rust

Posted Image

used 2 coats of primer and then 2 coats of gloss black

Posted Image

inspired by ades mini, i went the cadburys purple as well (well actually mines ford purple velvet!) again 2 coats of purple and then 2 coats of laquer. the reason for the base black coat is to make the purple darker and give it that little bit more shine! will take some pics in the daylight soon!

Posted Image

managed to get a rear cage, also safety devices off ebay!

Posted Image

went about removing the rae diagonal as this car is for road use and i would like to see out the back window!

Posted Image

and finnally got my car sprayed! went for tahiti blue with a white roof! its still in the body shop at the mo but am expecting delivery very soon! got my boot arches and seam covers though!

Posted Image

its all coming together now! :proud:

tis indeed a fiberglass one! fitment is good but only because of the pain staking hours spent trying to make it fit! as mentioned before boot is also a fiberglass one just mated to the original steel skeleton to give it some strength!

it looks like that mg is jealous of all the attention the minis getting to me. You better be careful he doesn't trash it while your backs turned....

the mg certianly wants in on the minis attention! lol. thats the only reason i went for the front flip because the front was rusty! interior will be 6 point cage with buckets, harnesses, carbon bits here and there and of course carpet! engine wise am going for a 1380 engine kit which i will probabily build myself and am hoping to break the 100hp mark.
