You've made a good choice in putting the bumpers back on, personal preference but I prefer them with.
I've just fab'd a metal smooth bootlid skin for mine, dead chuffed with it, just needs spraying now.
What colour are you going for mate?
Keep up the hard work. It will be a stomper when its done. Tom

to tom = i like it with the bumpers too makes it look wider, getting it sprayed tahiti blue with a white roof.
cheers lund, knew it was something like that couldn't remember though!

just been doing small bits and pieces here and there, and test making a carbon fiber door card. will get some pics of it up next week, but the process i am using is similar to fiberglassin not as strong but looks the same. it also genuine carbon weave i'm using!

bought some fiberglass arches of ebay

heres how they look on the car

then got some 3 clock dials, will be selling the union jack covers soon so pm if you want them

got a front safety devices cage off a mate for a tenner! so went about painting that.

removed all the rust

used 2 coats of primer and then 2 coats of gloss black

inspired by ades mini, i went the cadburys purple as well (well actually mines ford purple velvet!) again 2 coats of purple and then 2 coats of laquer. the reason for the base black coat is to make the purple darker and give it that little bit more shine! will take some pics in the daylight soon!

managed to get a rear cage, also safety devices off ebay!

went about removing the rae diagonal as this car is for road use and i would like to see out the back window!

and finnally got my car sprayed! went for tahiti blue with a white roof! its still in the body shop at the mo but am expecting delivery very soon! got my boot arches and seam covers though!

its all coming together now!

tis indeed a fiberglass one! fitment is good but only because of the pain staking hours spent trying to make it fit! as mentioned before boot is also a fiberglass one just mated to the original steel skeleton to give it some strength!
Lookin good my fellow Mini cruiser
