hi

upgrade time coming up and i think its time to make a break from BlackBerrys.... had em for too long now (although the 9900 looks sweeeeeeeeet!)

had an iphone 3g once, like it but itunes got annoying so sold it for another BB. wifey has just got an andriod based phone which looks cool and easy to use but theres so many out there i just dont know what to choose!

not fussed over Nokia as i hear the OS isnt great so its gonna be a choice between iphone 4 OR something with andriod.

what do you use/would reccomend/have if you could?! oh, MUST have a front facing camera too as i use skype (BlackBerrys dont have skype)

cheers

HTC are currently the most popular Android platform sellers.

It all depends how much you're prepared to spend.

Here's a link that gives you the top 10 Android phones currently on the market: http://www.techradar...17819?artc_pg=1

There are two pages, so make sure you check out both of them.

My current phone is the Google Nexus One. I've got a modded version of Android on it called Cyanogen Mod7, which means that my phone is also rooted. [Rooting an android phone is like 'jail breaking' an Iphone, but you can do a lot more with a rooted phone.]

Hope this helps,

Simon.

Current dogs danglies phone (spec-wise) is meant to be the Samsung Galaxy S2. Selling 5 million phones within 85 days means its gotta be pretty good right?

I have to admit I struggle to text one handed with mine but using it sideways also increases the size of the keyboard which makes it easier to type anyway.

Get an iPhone ! They win hands down in any Smart Phone test. The iPhone 5 will be out soon so you might want to get that

Well thats not really true. Most reviewers have agreed that a vast majority of current generation smartphones beat the iPhone 4 on power, longevity and most importantly price. Im not denying the iPhone 4 isnt a good phone, nor am I hating on Apple, they make good stuff, but it is last generation and there are better phones out there now.

My HTC desire S is great, but the battery life is utterly, totally shocking. Blackberry will be my next one.

Get a samsung galaxy S2. Best smart phone there is - Thrashes the iphone 4 in every test - Look at the reviews on youtube.

Thinner, lighter, brighter, better screen, android is better, better camera, faster in everyway and browses internet better.

I've just got one and even my 'apple' mates love it. I say apple mates because people with iphones and macs etc seem to believe that nothing on earth can possibly be better than something made by apple - Even though apple use samsung parts to make the iphone any good.

I'm guessing everyone is propbaly going to want to support there own phones ( I have an iPhone 4 ) which is fair enough. But the IPhone is the most user friendly and it is beautiful

Personally I would say iPhone 4. I have it in white and it is awesome. My gf has a Samsung Galaxy Ace which is pretty cool and is an Android.

Regarding rooting an Android, I still think jailbroken iphones are way better than a rooted Android phone...

Never really liked Blackberry's, and HTC mobiles are alright, but never better than iPhone! just saying :P

Edit: But i'm kinda obsessed with Apple products :gimme:

Word on the iPhone 5 is that it'll be released either 4th or 5th October. Though if I paid for my mobile i'd go for the Samsung. Sweeeeeeeeet.
