We are workin on a late cooper at te garage ATM. 1 owner from new and is fairly solid. So tempting but he literally loves it.

A series 5 port8) made to be able to pretty much bolt on either a feckin large turbo or a KAD twin cam8) so bottom end and gearbox is pretty bullet proof

I know I could get the swiftune crank set and KAD dog box..
But still.. Probably end up doing a duratec conversion. Above 150 horsepower where is tr point with staying with A series?
