Hi all.
I have a mini 1275GT,
1275cc, MG METROTURBO, Maniflow turbo exhaust system.
The thing is, i want to change the centre box and the back box.
Is this know as a twin box system?
Can i keep the manifold and just replace the middle box and rear box as i think the centre box is making it lose that sexy sound
someone said to get a RC40,system ? but im not 100% sure what i need to replace all all this.
Can someone advise me please
thanks

an RC40 is "meant" to be the mutts nuts for a Mini.
I have a stright though exhurst on my std 998 atm, which in due time will be replacing with a Custom Maniflow Stright though 2" system!
This will give the throaty sound, and still give me the smile factor
You might be better ringing Maniflow, and askin them what you want, sounds like you just want a single box system CE.
and no you can keep your INLET manifold, and you can easliy swap exhurast over, with a hour or two of your time

Just tell them that...
You can not take the manifold off, its part of the turbo unit... the only part they can go to is the down pipe

I assume that if you have a full Maniflow turbo exhaust that this will be a twin box 2" system.
The system goes loke this Manifold-turbo-turbo elbow-downpipe-sicelencers (and link pipes).
You won't need to change the Manifold, turbo or turbo elbow. And shouldn't need to change the downpipe either.
So all you need (I'm guessing) is this:

You may be confusing the manifold with this( http://www.minispare....aspx?pid=35833 ) the downpipe.
Hope this helps

Is your dads a turbo as well. because if its not that'll be part of the reason. The turbo acts as a scilencer itself :cheese:

Single box of your choice, but RC40 is my flavour instead of that Maniflow rubbish. Thats my own opinion though
Maniflow make the best manifolds but not nescisaraly the best systems, again my own opinion.

as for sound, I fint the bigger the tail pipe the nicer the sound. Its not nescisaraly the size or quantity of scilencers. Single box with a large tailpipe is good, i got one. Its not the sound at idle either that matters but when you floor it. But its always going to sound different with the turbo.
Oh and the letterbox and windows rattle on the house when the engine is warming up if that gives you any indication
