I sent off my form the other week but forgot to put a self addressed envolope in with it as i didnt know what *sae* meant in advertisement bit in mini world. I have since sent another letter to them with a self addressed envolope but havnt had anything back yet. Does anybody reckon ill get it back or missed my chance? thanks simon :)

Blimey that's a bit of a "sign of the times" and a symptom of the online world we now live in, when people don't understand what the phrase "SAE" means any more!! Do you still send your payment off in the form of a cheque these days, do people even know what cheques are any more?

Yes i did send a cheque with it, just trying to find out if i stand a chance of getting a ticket still. Missed past 2 years you see :/

I didnt include a self addressed envelope, and my ticket came in the post last week!

I do find it rather strange that they still use cheques only for L2B, when everything else is credit/debit card these days.

I had to get my brother to write out the cheque, as I don't even have a cheque book!

I'm not really that surprised that LSMOC don't accept credit card payment, they are only an amateur mini club after all (all be it a very big & very well organised mini club). But it does surprise me that they don't at least accept Paypal, I thought just about everybody had a Paypal account these days.


... that's a point, where actually is my cheque book?? I don't think I've written a cheque out in years!!

well i had to go to the bank and ask to order a cheque book as i never bothered with one and they wanted to much for a banckers cheque for the amount

Was going to buy mine at brooklands they had like 8 spaces left when I got there....I forgot to bring cash....

So it looks like L2B might be a complete sell out this year after all! That does surprise me, clearly the classic mini scene is growing again!!

Unless the number of new MINIs in the run is increasing

Picked up mine and the gf's tickets at brooklands after hearing on here that they sell them there, will probably do that every year now as its a pain to sort a cheque and post out stuff! i have never owned a cheque book and mine and her family don't use them either!! looking forward to it again, will be our 3rd time but not sure if were going to bother with the crystal palace bit this year

Ah ha!! So it looks like anyone else who now wants to go will be joining me as an unofficial runner and will be parking in a car park somewhere, when they get to Brighton!!
