manslaughter

I don't know why people are surprised that disgusting chavvy loutish children have disgusting chavvy loutish parents.

Ever spoken to a midwife? they can usually tell what a kid will be like before they are born... they just look at the parent/s.

Glad the police bothered to do something, usually they don't bother with kids because they always seem to get away with it... unless its a crime they are cracking down on, like mobile phone theft or throwing bricks at cars by the looks of it.

P.S. i don't mean to be harsh to coppers, for the most part they do try but some k**b gets all soft and lets them away with a fine or some carp.

I think you should get the brick and rock that the kids threw and throw it through teir window.
When they come out and say "what the hell do you think your doing" reply with "Returning your sons toys, he left "dropped them off" the other day"

Great to hear the police have done something.

Even if they get a caution it will make them think twice before they do it again (well I hope so).

a lad did something in front of my friends car on his street.

Loosing his temper, my mate got out and smacked the kid. And went home.

He was then arrested and cautioned by the police. How fair is that?

Bloody kids parent reported him by sounds, even tho there own kid was the one causing the agro/problem

The lad must have done something pretty bad for your mate to get out and smack him..?

To be completely honest, I wouldn't bother going to the police... I know it might stop them doing it again, but Mini's are hardly cars that just blend into the background...

I hope you park your Mini in a garage.. I've heard of some pretty nasty revenge attacks on cars recently!

Obviously if you grassed someone up to the police they'd start noticing it a bit more... :erm:

As i was coming through birmingham on the way back from bingley there was a gang of chavs on a bridge throwing stuff at cars on the other side. i propose throwing chavs of the bridges.

If you could find a receptive cop, you could have them charged with attempted grievous bodily harm or manslaughter (very serious charges). At the very least, they could be charged with causing criminal damage.

Having a criminal record against them could really make their lives difficult.

The big qustion is whether you think you have enough evidence to get them charged. Sure, you'll have the evidence of damage to your car, but were there any witnesses or other evidence placing them at the scene?

Can one of our resident police TMF members perhaps comment on the best way to manage this?

Its not about finding a receptive cop - its now down to the officer as to what someone gets charged with, theres a little problem in our job called the CPS.

You would never get them into custody for anything other than a damage to motor vehicle, which in the grand scheme of things is not a massive offence, you would struggle to prove any intent to cause injury - they have clearly thrown it low enough to strike the grille and not a window.

If they have never been in bother before and admit to it, the laws state that they be given a reprimand or caution - again not the Police's choice, theres no less paperwork in either.

It does come down to word against word without any independant witnesses, which, does make it difficult to prove, from experience I have had people walk because the CPS wouldn't run a job where a guy had been seen doing something by 3 different people - because they know him by 1st name and not surname!!! He'd torched a brand spankin new audi s3!!!!!

Less of the negativity about the police please, you dont see me having jibes about anyone elses job - i've had C**p experiences of people in banks, restaurants, garages, military, retail - so own up and lets be fair about the slaggin off!!

Sorry but i know how frustrating the police can be, it may not be their fault, they seem to have no power to do anything, apart from arresting people who retaliate!

No no... just walk all over us, its ok, we don't mind, we pay our taxes and be law abiding citizens for nothing.

Lets face it our society is going down the drain, the kids know they can't be touched and they can do as they please.... god i love this country!

Mind you, it's not even just the kids is it...... and at 16 i wouldn't class them as little kids!
