Finished extending all the loom yesterday so will post some more pics later on today so you can see what i have been up to. Next job is to take it to my mates workshop and drive it over the pit so the lovely job of stripping the bottom of the car down can begin.

Going to wire brush off the underneath of the car then red oxide it all and finish her off with a lovely bit of wax oil!!!

One messy job this is goin to be but want to do it now before i put the engine back in and fit all the exhaust as the oil is going to get everywhere!!!

Ha ha sorry gonin to keep this one for a bit then join the z cars building possey!

The old money pot keeps on looking empty thats for sure!spent around £4000 so far and the great news is the car isnt far off!So hopefully shouldnt have to fork out too much more, however the engine will be tinkered with at some point if not changed compleately!
But i love playing with minis so it doesnt seem to really matter especially when you start to acheave the results you have been hopeing for!!!!

hi Mark

I no its definately going to be a very expensive build and may take a while to get there but i have a second shell and a fair few bits left over from this first project.

Wont be for a year or two yet but have decided that a z cars has to be my next project;)

Some food for thought as i have ran the battery cable and brake lines on the inside of the car is it worth running the fuel line on the inside of the car?

Issues of what sort of fuel line to use if i do run the fuel line on the inside too!

Has anyone ran their fuel line inside?? or would it be best to run it on the outside in its original position?

phil

cheers gaz!!

did you fit fuel cut off taps on the inside as well or is there really no need?

Where would be the best place to get a braded fuel line?at a competative price?
