Hiya mate...just thought I'd add that I helped build that race car that Gary's on about. It was our project at college. Our fuel cut-off was in our custom-built tank I'm afraid mate, which cost £900 (and we were only charged for the parts - not the labour) plus our braided hose came at a discount from the same supplier, so no help there either (sorry)cheers gaz!!
did you fit fuel cut off taps on the inside as well or is there really no need?
Where would be the best place to get a braded fuel line?at a competative price?

HUGE project near compleation....WAHOO!

Phil, i have 5 metres spare of Cotton braided fuel injecion hose (8mm bore) left over from my build, i have ran mine underneath as unless you are gonna be racing it you will end up with fuel vapour smell inside the vehicle as all fuel hose breathes slightly especially steel braided stuff as i can confirm from when i built my escort.

Thanks for the feedback on that one i shall let you no as will be sorting out the fuel line at the weekend.Think i will just run the fuel line on the outside.
The car will be used on track days but dont think there is going to be much need really.

What a job! really glad i covered up the whole car in sheets as the stuff gets allll over!
Sorry i didnt manage to get any pics as the cam,era decided the battery had had enough and i didnt have a spare:(
Only have the wheel arches left to do but that doesnt require the inspection pit so will take some pics of that.
Hopefully next weekend i will have the engine in place!!

Been manking some serious progress this week will get the pics posted as soon as i can get on my comp which has photoshop on.
Progress so far wayne....
Got the wheel arches all wax oiled very very messy job and took me at least 8washes to get the stuff out my hair....
Started with the head liner yesterday.Stuck some foam onto the room for sound insulation and stuck it with contact adheasive.
This was great as the foam is quite thick and causes the roof bars to be held and wedged in making it that bit easier for things to stay in place.
Have got half of the roof liner in but my god this has to be the worst job in the whole world.
NOTE TO SELF NEVER DO THIS EVER AGAIN!
Fitting isnt hard itrs just frustrating and trying to get the liner perfect is prooving to take some serious time and patience as well as some re sticking and starting all over again.
God bless the bull dog clips!
Will post some pics as soon as i can

I am on fitting the front and rear windows and it appears that the rubers are a bit too big. They are curtrently complete i.e there jointed and dont have a begining and end. Its it best to cut them and get rid of any excess or shud they fit straight away?
Many Thanks
