Bought a old school steering wheel.  Hoping to start picking up more parts again to get things going.

Installed the new to me Formula wheel the other day.  It is slightly off center, so I'll correct it and post pictures later.  I already like it a lot more then the one that came on the car.

Just ordered the dash setup for the car, so hopefully in the next month I will finally have a working speedo in the car.

-------  It's coming from France.

Still working on trying to get a heater for the car.

My new dash setup arrived from France.  It's a Dulles Dash repro. Still need to order a center speedo binnacle for it to mount onto, and a 80mm tach.

Photos of the original dash setup, the repro isn't quite the same, but it's still close enough.

Making plans to get moving on this again after we get back from Australia in September.  Some updates for it...

Went to the White Elephant Christmas Party for the Seattle Area Mini Owners Association in January.  They have a silent auction and then they also have the "White Elephant" part where members can wrap up nondescript boxes and put Mini related items and parts in them.  The people who participate can then bid on the item.  I won a front big brake kit for the Mini for $20, and was pretty happy since I have always wanted a set, and they usually go for $400-500.

This particular kit was from an ex-race Mini and the calipers are 4 pot calipers with 8.4" disc down turned to 7.5" discs.  The key thing about this is that most available 7.5" discs are a solid rotor.  The 8.4" disc come with a vented option.  The calipers also came with a spacer to be able to run the now thicker 7.5" disc.  I am pretty excited about the setup, and the rotors will only need a light resurfacing.  I am hoping that the seals in the calipers are good.

I guess they didn't change park lots, from what I hear.  They only change some of the locations of where the car marques were stationed.

Lis took the Mini out to the Western Washington ABFM held at Bellevue College yesterday.  She said it was a good time and that she confused a good many people with telling them that it wasn't a "Cooper".

I took the Mini out today to shoot some photos, one of the spots in Georgetown was too populated to get any decent photos, but I discovered this other location a few months back.

I am not 100% happy with the photo, but it just means I need to get out there and shoot more photos with my camera.

As far as to the height of the Mini, I know most people would say that its low enough.  I would like it another 1-1.5" lower, but the issue is that the front Hi-Lo's are all the way down.  The suspension is all new as of last year, and the only thing that I have read to get them lower is to run the genuine Hi-Lo's which I have already...  It has new road race cones, new lowered spax shocks, and new bump stops.  I know its not riding on the bump stops, as the suspension is riding harsh at all, though it is stiff.  I am at a loss as to what I can do next to get it lower.

Hi mate

I am looking for some assistance

Would you be able to give me the details for where you got the dash made please?

Really like this dash and only other option is for me to make one myself, but I am exploring every avenue first.

Nice car as well!

Regards

Kieran

I only know of one other Aussie Clubman in my area and don't know of any others in the USA, though I am sure there are a few.  Definitely looking forward to taking care of all of the rust and getting it back to looking great.
