I also have been talking with Chris at Z-Cars about a new shifter.  They use the one called "FlatShift".  They just use the ignition cutout with the mnual lever.  But I want to use my buttons.

There is a company in America, Rilltech Racing that carry's the Flatshifter so I have one coming from them.  I am getting the "Pro" with throttle blipper for clutch less up shfts and down shifts via paddles or steering wheel buttons.  This was shipped today so I should get it maybe friday.

That sounds like it will be a super sweet setup once its all together, looking forward to hearing how it all works out as this would really suit my future sprint car design.

I started installing my new "Flat Shifter" today.  The paddles are a bit short so I have ordered the option 1" longer ones.

I started installing my new dry sump oil system yesterday. Mike Downs of Downs Engineering made it  He normally mounts the pump in front of the engine but this wouldn't work for mr because of a frame rail in the way where the belt drive would go.  So he made a different mount kind of behind the motor with the pump facing outward.  I still had to modify the oil pump mount quite a bit because of the frame rail in the way.  (circled)  But got it to fit.

Next I'll finish hooking everything up to the engine, then install the oil tank and start running all the hoses.

I finished the dry sump installation today.  this is what 500 bucks worth of Russell hose and fittings looks like.  I had to put a 90 degree fitting in the pan outlet as the straight fitting hit my frame rail.  (Dam frame keeps getting in the way).  But outside of that everything was pretty straight forward.

It's all together, up and running.  Raining to hard for a test drive though.

The new dry sump system is up and running.  I've been driving the car around the neighbor hood and so far so good.  This afternoon we're heading to ORP for a track day tomorrow, wiish me luck.

I took the Minibusa out for a few test laps yesterday.  WOW!  I was amazed at the difference the wing made.  I didn't have enough time to really play with it but every corner felt much better, the two hills I have lifted in the past I can now take full throttle, the slicks showed more signs of wear, and all in all the car just felt better and more solidly planted than it's ever has.

Great News - I might need to look at a removable aero package for mine.....

I'm back at finishing the paddle shift install.  I had added the paddles to the steering wheel but that was as far as I got.  So the last couple of days I installed all the rest of the goodies.  Up shifts are working perfectly but I can't get enough vacum to run the throttle blipper for down shifts.  I'll be working on that today.

I had to install a new tap for the vacuum line feeding the blipper.  All is now good and working like a charm.

Now I just have to learn how to run my darn camera so I can get some videos Monday.
