... its a classic car ... not just 'a car'
It's a car that won't be here in 100 years anyway... the way some people are talking you'd think they'd just lost a loved one...
EDIT: I've looked back on all my posts, this was a stupid one quite clearly.
Heat of the moment maybe.

Craig your not sentimental... What if your metro was crushed?
Not sentimental... which is the reason I've kept my ridiculous crappy Metro regardless of extreme debt, 3500 insurance for a single year third party... I can't bring myself to sell it because I love it.
My point is, It's a Mini... and what? Hundreds are saved every year by Mini owners an enthusiasts, the audience Top Gear brings in, WORLDWIDE probably sparked off a LOT of love for the classic Mini to people that didnt even know of its existence...
The Mini was already a write off in the UK... one Mini really doesnt kill anybody... the BBC bought the car and they do what they like about it. They didnt say a single negative thing about the car in the entire episode because all 3 of those blokes appreciate and love the Mini for what it is... a legend. And what did they prove in that episode? That a Mini can do exactly the same as those BIG executive, expensive cars... that the Mini handled off-road terrain just aswell despite its tiny 13'' wheels...
get over it guys, they did a great job, it was a great show... and stuff like this HELP the Mini live on as the legend that it is.
And the fact that I own a Metro is irrelevant

Its full of "i love top gear" threads and everyone of us watched it knowing that the mini would be damaged in some way, now it has been some dont like it, with "top gear is dead to me" schoolboy comments.
Its a car, cars get wrecked for our entertainment, get over it or watch something else.

Good show, yes it was staged and scripted but who cares?? Best thing I've watched all week.
Big deal, they damaged the car, didn't see it coming??!!
It made me laugh!!

I just don't find the specials humours anymore, I'd much rather have seen a few more normal top gear episodes.
