Managed about 32miles on a full tank the other week, but then I don't think much of it made it into the engine...

get yourself down to southend mini action group or essex mini club, they doo 1 or 2 meets a month. you planning on going to london to brighton?

Okayy i will look into it :) and yes, waiting to get marches edition of mini world, apparently the application form is in there. I take it your a member of the essex mini club? :)

My MG Metro engine manages about 45mpg at 65-70mph. Drops off dramatically above that.

Update: I've put more receipts into my spreadsheet from earlier in the year and it's bumped the average up to 38.8mpg. Damn winter! >_< It looks like If I drive more during the day than night next summer I could hope to get 40 or more!

I wonder what results could be had from the A-Series if someone went mad for economy.

I have a 1098 and it's doing about 35 - 40 MPG lots of short trips though ( no more than 2 miles a trip >_< )

Exactly! £10 gets me from the bottom of red to just over a quarter, lasts long enough for me, the MPG won't change the love for my mini at all, worth every penny to me! Good bloody job as well aha! :lol:

25mpg but then it's not got standard horse power...
