Anyone every tried hypermiling a mini?

I wonder what results could be had from the A-Series if someone went mad for economy.

http://www.hypermile...ling-techniques - following these etc.

50+ mpg is probably in reach. 60+ at a push?

Ugh!!! :X ....

We "hypermile" the wife's 4x4 (simply because we couldn't afford to run the huge planet killing beast otherwise).... But oh god it's sooooo boooring!!... I couldn't bring myself to drive a classic mini like that, the whole point of a mini is that they are fun to drive and "scream along" in!! :-)

I 'hypermiled' my old Mini 100 from Cardiff to just south of Exeter, picked up a snap-on roll cab, and went back to Cardiff on one tank. That's about 230 miles I think. Honestly the most boring drive of my life. Sitting with the lorries. But I made it back without needing to put more fuel in :D
