Just like a packet of fags, in 10 years time you'll have to sell a kidney to buy one.

Selling a lung would be more appropriate!

But as long as that bonnet has some form of proof of identity, then it's a collectible, not an auto-jumble spares job. I guess to someone it's worth that kind of money, but not to me.

I couldnt believe the price of that Mini on the trailer outside. £1400 for something that didnt even mention having an MOT or tax. I also may have accidentally insulted the guy who was selling the gold Metro saying it was overpriced and the wrong colour out loud...

The red one with the white fibreglass front. It was covered in un-smoothed filler and rust. It had half a mismatched interior and no carpets.

the only used part i got from the show was a clubman grill, alittle dirty but im gonna sand it down and paint it matt black anyways, so i dont mind,
i paid 25 for it

everything else i got was new,
some small bits, some billet bits, some grp bits

i was about to buy a brake set from mini sport, almost busted out the card for them
but i had to walk away, didn't want to spend more then i came with

Although the Cooper S shell was of 65 ilk, I am not sure that it originaletd as an S shell.
Logbook was worth a fair bit but as previously said by Clubber Lang all of the very expensive bits wetre missing and it would be about the value of it in bits to finish it.

I thought there were reasonably priced seats and wheels this year but generally the prices had gone up and a lot more breakers there asking top dollar for the stuff.

I saw bonnet man and enquired how much the NOS early minivan side trims were. £350 !!!! Dream on there are probably less than 50 cars left that they should be fitted to. Not exactly a big demand

Space at the show is quite expensive...... My pitch cost £240.00 and that was in the back of the hall...... The traders ramp their prices up accordingly to cover costs, and pass them onto the punters.... In the morning before the doors open you see them all hurriedly adjusting their prices to match what other traders are charging so they can make the most of the day.

Not us though..... Still cheap as chips ;)

A lot more OTT than usual at the autojumble today...

£650 for a bonnet... Yep that isn't a typo.

Can anyone beat that one??

WHat was it made of ?

I was looking for a set of D1's, found 1 set of 5 in need of a refurb, the guy wanted £300 and wouldnt budge..
5 minutes later found another 5 in similar condition for £80, I gave him £40 and came away very happy. :D
