Nowt wrong with the fry-up. I've never, ever had potato waffles in my life. I'm going to buy some to see if they're as awfully versatile as the ad used to say.

Pop some pre-sliced corned beef on them and cheese on top of that and shove the bad ass under the grille

mmmmmmmmmmm

Qualified's got nothing to do with anything when it comes to food. My girlfriend is always coming up with concoctions  which often sound wacky but come out like something that you would expect to pay decent money for. She is a genius.

One of my favourite things at the moment is, sliced wild mushrooms pan fried in butter topped with melted taleggio served on dry seeded toast

It is the Bees Knees

My brother in law has no cooking qualifications other than a basic food hygiene certificate.

He runs this pub with my sister, he's the chef, she bosses everyone around

You could adapt the recipe to work in a restaurant.  Only it would be called 'Potato fondant with Fillet steak topped with melted Gruyère cheese' I bet the waffle one would be more satisfying though!

I looked on trip advisor at this pub and found the following review right at the top of the list.

Nice pint of ale. We didn't like some of the clientel that were surrounding us in the garden - too many chavs..!

Food looks great on their website though!

Nice looking place.

Needed some green in it as well really... chopped flat leaf parsley would have been great if I had some. Damn rabbits keep eating it in the garden.

I've not really been doing much other than freezer food of late.

But a couple of notable dishes.

Breast of Lamb with Roast potato mash.

Steak and Polenta chips.

Pan fried chicken breast with creamy mushroom sauce and herby polenta mash.

Phallic breakfast. ;)

That lamb breast looks great. We do something similar at the restaurant. And i like the idea of polenta chips.
