My uncle is into match ploughing, and instead of steel weights he cast some in concrete. That way you could make them to exactly the shape you need?

after driving for 160 miles (not all at once) i have had my first mechanical failier :'(
about a mile in on my journey to work this morning in traffic, i went to go from 1st to 2nd as the traffic picked up pace, and the gear stick was all floppy
pulled over for a bit, and decided as it was in gear i would get it back home steadily. so running about 2,500 rpm i manage to cruse home at about 18mph in first gear.
then walked to work.
quick look tonight showed one of the roll pins in the linkage had decided to jump ship, i've got some spare so it was a quick fix.
also plumbed in the heater, more for demisting the screen, as i dont really need a heater it gets way too hot (cant wait for summer ) also fitted alloy header / swirl pot in the back.
apart from handling all seems well.
think of getting a Zcars front sumframe to help keep it on the road. subframe decision post

I got a call from Zcars earlier this week saying delivery of front subframe would be thurs / fri this week,
and allegedly whilst out for drinks with work colleges this afternoon it was all delivered.
I now have four extra presents under the tree, and the frame is hidden in the back of the bongo, and all keys hidden.
just hope i can now blag the time to assemble and fit it over the christmas holidays. will get some pics when i get to see them.
have had a little play with settings as is over the last couple of weeks, now seems better up to 70 ish, but still feels way off, and still has major bump steer even at lower speeds.

Lucky bugger,
Ive just had mine setup and its alot smoother, but i havent been up to 70 yet.
I think most of my bounce comes from the big tires.
but it does feel like the bump steer has gone, i think that was from the caster angles being off and the camber being wrong.

as predicted Zcar front subframe was here for chrismas morning, looks a nice bit of kit.
i opted for the bigger tank, and it looks quite close to the rad, will see how it looks in the car, think the fans will have to go onto the front.
