I agree with earlier post, I believe heritage are thinking about a mk1/2 shell. They have started doing the rear panel for the mk1 & produce all the usual consumable panels. The log book should state whether it's a cooper S. Also the chassis numbers should match up on the shell. Try the inner wing. That should have survived the rust. You can also try & get a heritage certificate if numbers are all ok. Would add alot to the value. Either way it's good to have an early mini if you fancy doing something retro.Ye that is one of my options but obviouy alot pf pople are against using another shell. at the minute I'm going to put it to the back of Ma garage and see if anything comes along. Got to make space for the next one hopefully this one will be in abit better condition. I've taken some more pictures so I'll post them up later
You could always keep an eye out on ebay for a restored MK2 shell - Ive seen them pop up from time to time, at a fraction of the price of a heritage shell :)

I like it mate and when ingor told it was ex police car I had visions of turning it back into something like that. And then I saw it lol

If you get the s logbook and heritage certificate along with proof it used to be a police car i think it would still fetch over £1500
