reminds me when i meet the mrs 12 years ago i had a mini and yes we did...now i have jsut restored mine i better ask her again to remanise on old times

Yes it's certainly possible (or at least it was when I was in my youth anyway) Stay away from the back seat though and assume the position of yourself kneeling in the passenger foot well and the young lady in question sat in the front passenger seat!!

I wouldn't try it myself these days though, there's far too much risk of my lower back going into spasm and then having to be cut out of the car by the Fire Brigade!!

You must have been goin hard to move the alternator


In my experience my back seat bottom peace can be taken out so i tuck that out and put it behind the back of the driver seat and reclined my reclineing semi buckets and done it there on passenger seat woman on bottom ;)

I think actually I hadn't tightened the bolt properly and this just made it worse.

Although I prefer to think I can shake a Mini that much!

i completely agree with this technique, with the seat ever so slightly reclined.

like this you can smash away and all of the thrust is absorbed by her as she cant move away from you, a bit like doing it on a hard floor.

think of it as being like hammering a bearing out, if you put it on something solid like a vice, you get a quicker resut with less swinging of the tool.

I just sit on the back seat and she goes on top. If I fancy a bit more leg room I jam the front seats foward against the headliner. Works a treat and theres plenty of room! Plus I dont have to do andly work when shes on top!
