998cc manual gearbox, stage 1 kit, 70 MPH might go more but i dont want to blow it up!

why do people take pictures of there speedo's when travelling at relatively high speeds seems a bit dangerous

Surely the best performance mod for your Mini, is to put fit the wrong speedo worm and pinion .......

Standard 998HL, normally get about 75 flat out, once got 83ish haha

It would be a good idea, but got mine the wrong way round. It reads about 22ish when doing 30ish

Not really, because they don't show you the pictures of their front wheels jacked up on the axle stands

I once did a rally in Longleat with my great friend Cec Offley driving my 'S' and me navigationg. There was a long almost straight road and we did it twice during the day. He pulled 7300 rpm in top which I reckon was 106 mph on my 3.9:1 final drive. We finished 5th overall despite spinning on the lion sh*t earlier in the day!

off the speedo (90+) on my standard 998 (steep hill near Brighton area) - my first mini 18 years ago, aged 18. I killed that car.....how foolish I was.
