Good news, She runs! Got her started on saturday, only for a few seconds as she doesnt have her radiator in but atleast we know she goes. Hoping to have her on the wheels this weekend and hopefully very close to completion!

Good choice of colour, its not far off mine
BEAUTIFUL!! What colour is that? if you dont mind me asking.
loving the rebuild its looking mint just a quick question, why have u gone to all that effort of making the shell, subframes suspension and brake and put the engine back in the car with a red block and a green head? are you going to repaint it at a later stage? hope u don't mind me asking just curious thats all!
ps look forward to more updates, olly
No i dont mind at all!! il'd rather people tell me what they think aslong as its not insulting lol... with the colours i kept the head the green because that is the colour that bill richards painted it and i wanted it too look as if it wasnt a normal head as such. im not 100% sure if i like it that way, so may well paint it red at a later date.
oh and the camera makes the colours seem really bright on the engine, mainly due to my appalling skill with a camera

Other bits and peices such as the doors, windows, wheels have been put on making it look complete and schweeet! still a little way off completion but the end is nigh. Here as some pics to keep you entertained for the time being!

Heres the mk1 Carbon fibre boot that is going in, there will be no lamp on it, we are going to use screw LEDS to light the numberplate. this bootlid was made by arc angels

We have the carpet, dashboard and roof lining in. We hope to get the door cards and seats in this week!

Is the carbon boot a double skin version? Would be interested in seeing the fit, as I'm looking at getting a mk1 boot, great progress on this bud

Nice colour combo! I'm thinking about picking up a carbon fibre flip front from arc angles...I would be interested in hearing what kind of a job they do.
Looks so clean and fresh, love it! :)

Thanks guys! Yeah the bootlid is double skin, option 3 on there website, and its very nice. The quality of the carbon, weave and lacquer is amazing. It was a toss up between arc angels and carbon weezel, i would have loved to gone with carbon weezel but the funds wouldnt allow it. However im over the moon with the quality of arc angels products, there customer service is very good even though i had to wait a little bit for the roof to be done.
Just a warning, i spoke to admiral and it seems they dont insure carbon and may be the same with other companys. i have to go through a mini specialist through adrain flux but its at a good price.

I reckon if you could get hold of a playmini carbon back box, it'd set the rear end off
